Venues of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth "Brave"
This week on the 19th of Novemberthe long-awaited and promising International Film Festival for Children and Youth "Brave" starts. Thousands of viewers will watch premiere films made by emerging authors and acknowledged masters of the film industry at the online-cinema TVzavr.ru, and residents of Krasnoyarsk, Divnogorsk, Kansk and Minusinsk will be able to watch the festival program on the big screens of the cinemas. This year the Festival Directorate has received more than 180 applications from 26 countriesincluding Belgium, Germany, India, Spain, France, Croatia and other countries. As a result of the expert selection 75 films were included in the competition program. Within the competitive program 8 world and 11 Russian premieres are expected.
The main offline screenings of the competitive program films will take place at one of the most modern cinemas of the Krasnoyarsk region “Cinema Park. Gallereya Enisey” Here everyone interested can watch the best full-length and short-length fiction, animation films and documentaries. On November 19 at 7:00 pm. a big premiere will be screened here – the festival opening film will be a touching German drama Red Bracelets – The Beginning (dir. F.Binder)
The films of non-competitive program are of no less interest. They will be screened at several venues in Krasnoyarsk.
A special program of documentaries will be shown on November 19, 21 and 22 from 12:00 pm in the Krasnoyarsk Regional Scientific Library (Karla-Marxa st., 122). From the films the viewers will be able to learn about the birth of the famous novel "The White Guard", about the life of a hospital attendant and even about the development of the territories of the Far North.
The screenings will also take place at the cinema “Dom Kino” (Mira avenue, 88), where a special film program dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War will be presented. Viewers will have a unique opportunity to watch on the big screen the films of the famous Swedish documentary filmmaker Gunilla Bresky, telling about the hard work of military reporters and brave women bombers.
Children's cinema "Mechta" will also host a fascinating program of short animated films that includes films from different countries of the world, as well as works by authors from the most famous animation studio in our country - "Soyuzmultfilm".
The cinema “Epicenter” will also join the festival. Here the viewers will also be able to watch the non-competitive program of animated films, as well as a special program of the children's studio "KinoNiva"
The children's films will also be screened at “Dom Iskusstv” (House of Arts) (Krasnoyarsk, Mira avenue, 3). The films of the studio “KinoNiva” will also be presented here, and there will be a non-competitive screening of a full-length film about an incredible travel in time - Childhood Times
This is not a complete list of the venues! Besides Krasnoyarsk the competitive and non-competitive programs will be presented in three towns of the Krasnoyarsk region – in Divnogorsk at the Cultural Center “Energetik”, in Minusinsk at the Library named after Eduard Uspensky, and in Kansk at the Town Cultural Center.

The International Film Festival for Children and Youth "Hero" is the only professional international film festival for children and youth on the territory from Eastern Siberia to Sakhalin in Russia.
The main aim of the festival is to provide conditions for the development of creative abilities and visual thinking of children, to broaden their horizons through acquaintance with outstanding examples of Russian and world modern and classical cinema, to develop moral values, aesthetic attitude toward the world around us, and own taste for art.
