Festival "HERO"

Final Season of the Krasnoyarsk Film School

Since September, film training has been truly underway: with lectures, master classes, film shoots, sleepless script discussions, and constant practice.

This season, 51 students graduated from the Krasnoyarsk Film School—and each of them has developed their own cinematic story.

Over the course of the season, the students studied a variety of subjects, met with actors and film crews at creative workshops, and completed two extensive intensive courses: one on cinematography and lighting, and one on screenwriting with Anastasia Holm.

But the Film School is more than just classes. This year, the students have filmed a commercial, created a music video, and implemented numerous projects outside of the curriculum, because filmmaking starts where the urge to shoot begins.

The highlight of the season finale was the pitching of children’s film projects at the IV International Film Festival for Children and Youth “Hero”. Film school participants presented six short projects, and three of them received support:

Margo Yuferova – “Mr. Forgetful”
30,000 rubles for equipment rental from Binar

Dunia Tuvakova – “Digitized Lies”
Support for three days of filming from Yenisei Kino + a bonus of 10,000 rubles from Binar

Anastasia Ivanova – “Natasha, or a Lesson in a Non-English Language”
50,000 rubles for equipment rental from Binar

We would also like to thank the main partner of the season, Binar - Siberian Cinema Rental.

Binar is the largest photo and video equipment rental company in the Urals. We have equipment for absolutely any task: walk-through photography, recording a children's matinee, or producing a full-length film. Cinematic lighting, professional sound, film cameras, and filming optics—all of this can be rented at the best terms from them.

The film school’s graduation ceremony also took place at the “Hero” Film Festival. The students prepared creative performances and presented their graduation films:

Inna’s group – “Confession”
Katya’s group – “The Last Days of May”
Lesha’s group – “Shadow of Conscience”
A group production led by director Liza Kolmakova – “The Road Home” - the winner of last year’s pitching

The films will now be heading to festivals and will be available online this fall.

Thanks to all the teachers, mentors, partners, and, of course, the participants themselves. This season was long, challenging, and truly fulfilling.

See you next season!
