The International Film Festival for Children and Youth “Brave” will be held in the Krasnoyarsk region
The International Film Festival for Children and Youth “Brave” will be held in the Krasnoyarsk region from November 19 till November 23, 2020. The founder of the festival is the Ministry of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk region; the organizer is the Regional Government-Owned Publicly Funded Institution of Culture “Enisey Kino”; the President of the festival is Vladimir Grammatikov* (Moscow). All the festival events will be held both online and offline. The viewers will have an opportunity to watch the best Russian and foreign films made by emerging authors and acknowledged masters of the film industry. Workshops, art meetings, roundtable discussions with reputable representatives of the film industry will be held at the festival.
The festival traces its origins back to 2018 when it was held in All-Russian format and drew attention of the immense number of viewers. This year the festival has significantly extended its geography and become an international event. The Festival Directorate has received more than 180 (!) applications from 26 countries, including Belgium, Germany, India, Spain, France, Croatia, etc. The experts have selected 75 (!) films for the competitive program. 8 world and 11 Russian premieres will be screened at the festival. Taking into account the significance of 2020, a special film program dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War has been prepared.
In order to expand opportunities for young viewers to watch the films, the festival is planned to be held in two formats this year: main screenings of the competitive program will be held at the online-cinema “TVzavr”, and the residents of Krasnoyarsk will also be able to enjoy the premieres on the big screens of the cinema “Cinema Park. Gallereya Enisey” (Dubrovinskogo st., 1e) if the epidemiological situation permits. Moreover, it is assumed that the festival screenings will be organized in the cinemas of the towns of Divnogorsk, Kansk and Minusinsk. Other festival events will also be held in a double format, thereby it will be possible to follow them from any place with the Internet connection - regular live streams are planned on the official youtube channel of “Enisey Kino”: www.youtube.com/eniseykino. “The Festival Diaries” at the end of each festival day will also tell about the festival events.
The Chairman of the festival Jury is Vladimir Alenikov**. Particular attention should be given to honoured guest of the festival “Brave” - a young star of Russian cinema Vitalia Kornienko has confirmed her coming to Krasnoyarsk. By the age of 10 Vitalia has starred in more than 80 films including “Ice 2”, “The Age of Pioneers”, “Sputnik”, “Dzhulbars” and others.
