Closing ceremony of the III International Film Festival for Children and Youth «Hero»

On May, 24, Cinema Park hosted the Closing Gala of the III International Film Festival for Children and Youth "Hero"!
Before the formal program began, the guests and participants of the Film Festival had a chance to take part in various workshops, use atmospheric photobooths, and enjoy live music.
The closing ceremony was attended by members of the government, municipal administration, all members of the judges board, special guests and participants representing the competing films, as well as invited artists and performers of the city and the region.

Minister of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Arkady Zinov thanked the international festival organizers.
“Film Festival “Hero” gave the young citizens of our Territory an opportunity to see the best contemporary children’s and youth films that play an important role in nurturing the correct life orientations among the young generation. I thank all the participants of this event for their creativity and friendliness! I wish you lots of unforgettable film shows in the future!”

In total, the Film Festival was visited by over 13,000 people.

At the Closing Ceremony, eight winners in the best full-length and short feature film, best animation and best documentary film nomination. The winner of the Who Is Your Hero? nomination presenting the films produced by cinematographers under 18 years old, the Audience Award, and special nominations of the Festival judges were announced.

Best short feature film for children and youth - Between The Words (dir. Farid Ismail, Luxembourg, 2022, 15 min., 0+)

Best full-length animation film for children and youth - How to save the Immortal (dir. Roman Artemyev, Russia, 2022, 76 min., 6+).

Best short animation film for children and youth: – Goodbye, people (dir. Anna Klimanova, Russia, 2022, 4 min., 12+).

Best documentary film for children and youth: – Let me win (dir. Maria Finkelshtein, Svetlana Muzychenko, Russia, 2023, 69 min., 12+).

People's Choice Award – Between The Cliffs (dir. Mokhtar Abdollahi, Iran, 2022, 81 min., 12+).

Grand Prix – Between The Cliffs (dir. Mokhtar Abdollahi, Iran, 2022, 81 min., 12+).

Who Is Your Hero special children’s nomination – Fracture (dir. Spartak Sorokin, Russia, 2023, 17 min., 6+).

The Board of Judges also grants special awards to:

Film Festival “Hero” is more than an opportunity to see some outstanding film premiers, a unique program one would never find online, but also a chance to share experience with colleagues, to discuss cooperation opportunities and get a charge of colorful cultural memories.

Reference: Traditionally, after the completion of the Film Festival “Hero” the Echo of the International Film Festival begins, as cinema theatres all around the Krasnoyarsk Territory show the selected films until July 30.
