“I think it would appeal to someone with a passion for travel and adventure”, says cinematographer Yuri Ermolin. “It would appeal to someone with a creative mind. Curiosity, observation, and the ability to notice details are also very important qualities. Sometimes, details can reveal a lot, and they speak more eloquently than some half-hearted interviews where a person hides behind words. And talent, of course. Talent is essential”.
Yuri Ermolin is a legend of documentary filmmaking, whose work is known and appreciated worldwide. He worked for Nikita Mikhalkov's TRITE studio and Sergey Miroshnichenko’s Ostrov studio, and today collaborates with such giants as the BBC, National Geographic, Discovery, and the History Channel. His filmography includes dozens of films, and almost every one of them is an event. Among them is the legendary “Born in the USSR” series.

The master class is part of the program of the International Film Festival “Hero” .
“Our film “The Path” is participating in the film festival, and I was invited. I'd like to see how the film is received and the audience's reaction. Besides, I love Krasnoyarsk; I was born here, grew up here, worked here for some time, my friends are here," shared Yuri.
Yuri Ermolin has been working in the film industry for about 45 years. He filmed his first work for the East Siberian Film Chronicle Films.
