The International Film Festival for Children and Youth "Hero": Film School was held in Krasnoyarsk

From March, 26th till March 30th, 2025, the International Film Festival for Children and Youth "Hero: Film School" was held in Krasnoyarsk. These days, screenings of the best films of the III International Film Festival for Children and Youth "Hero" – 2024 in the Krasnoyarsk Krai were shown. There was also free intensive training for children and teenagers.
The founder of the event is the Ministry of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Krai, the organizer is the KGAUK "Yenisei Cinema".
During the five-day intensive training, teenagers immersed themselves in the world of cinema, studied cinema intricacies and communicated with leading speakers of the film industry. The course focuses on producing, acting, cinematography, and preparation for admission to specialized educational institutions.
The production master class was conducted by Vladimir Tarasov, a producer and film director (films: "The Yenisei Marathon", "Where our Home is", "Where our home is: Khakassia", etc.). He told how to effectively organize the production and promotion process of the film, where to find financing and also shared personal examples of creating film projects.
Who is a real actor, whether he can have principles and what it takes to become a good actor, told Alexander Knyaz, an artist of the Krasnoyarsk Young Spectator Theater, a leading master of the stage, and a professional actor.
Children practiced exercises on speech technique and body plasticity together with Alexander, and he also answered all the students' questions and shared his experience as an actor.
Katarina Ivanovich, a lecturer at the Department of Feature Film Directing at St. Petersburg State University, told how the entrance tests for the specialty of feature film director and acting are conducted, and also conducted a small lesson on film editing.
"I rate children very highly," said Katarina Ivanovich, "because the most important thing for them now is their desire and a dream. I see this dream in their eyes, a spark that will help them further develop in their profession."
Katarina presented gifts to the most active students: three certificates for free tuition at the preparatory courses of SpbGIKiT. The courses allow you to better prepare for the entrance tests and take place both in full-time and in correspondence (distance) education. Therefore, students can choose the most convenient option for themselves to prepare for admission to a specialized higher education institution.
The awards were given to:
3rd place – Vasilisa Kazantseva
2nd place - Churicheva Tatiana
1st place - Yangel Eva
All participants of the intensive course were also provided with graduation certificates and memorable gifts.
