International Film Festival for Children and Youth “Brave”: Day Four

Every day the festival “Brave” is picking up steam to delight every viewer. And the fourth festival day will be no exception - new films, new film programs, even more art meetings and workshops by prominent figures of the cinematic arts.

• Competitive screenings at the cinema “Cinema Park. Gallereya Enisey”

Everyone can feel the approach of winter, but it will be really hot in the large halls of the “Cinema Park. Gallereya Yenisei” this Sunday. The viewers will see the programs of short fiction and animation films, documentaries and full-length films. There will be two premiers – the Krasnoyarsk viewers will be the first in Russia to watch the comedies "Baby" (directed by S. Tyutin) and "Alfons Zitterbacke: The Countdown Has Begun" (directed by M. Schlitser). The “Mobile Film” program consists of the films by the youngest participants of the festival. • Competitive program of the short animated films

The best animated films from all over the world will be shown at 11:00 am at the Cultural Center “Energetik” in Divnogorsk and at 12pm at the Library named after Eduard Uspensky in Minusinsk.

• 11:00 Premiere - short film "Valya Kotik"

The festival "Brave" cannot fail to note young filmmakers from Krasnoyarsk, and therefore presents a special non-competitive film "Valya Kotik" to the audience. This is the story of a Soviet pioneer who accomplished a real feat during the Great Patriotic War. The premiere will take place on the Enisey Kino official youtube channel.

• 12:00 Out-of-competition program of documentaries

The Krasnoyarsk Regional Scientific Library (Karla-Marksa st., 122) will show a special program of documentaries. The viewers will be able to learn about the birth of the famous novel "The White Guard", about the life of a hospital attendant, and about the development of the territories of the Far North.

• 13:00 Workshop “The features of shooting a student non-fiction film”

Daria Artyushkova is the author of the documentary "Air Comandante" that has been included in the competitive program of the "Brave" festival. At the workshop Daria will tell the viewers how to start working on a documentary and how this experience differs from a feature film.

• 14:00 Special program for the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War

Today at the “Dom Kino” (Cinema House) (Mira avenue, 88), viewers will be able to watch two documentary films - "Unknown Fates of the War" (directed by M. Zharimbetov) by authors from Kazakhstan, telling about the search for the missing soldiers and "Night Witches "(directed by G. Bresky), which tells about women combat pilots.

• 15:00 Competitive program “Mobile film”

Today on the “Yenisei Kino” official channel on Twitchhttps://www.twitch.tv/eniseykino) the premiere of the program "Mobile Film" will take place. The program consists of the fiction, animated and documentary films made by the youngest participants of the festival.

• 16:00 Art meeting with the director of documentary films Elena Alferova

The competitive program of the “Brave” festival includes a very extensive program of the documentary films. The best works of the film directors from all over Russia will compete for the main prizes. At the art meeting with Elena Alferova, a member of the Selection Committee, we will talk about what these films are and why each of them deserves to be on the short list.

• 19:00 Art meeting with a film director Anna Chernakova

A director, screenwriter, and a member of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation Anna Chernakova has submitted to the festival “Brave” her film “All About My Sister” based on children stories by Mikhail Zoshchenko. At the art meeting she will talk about the filming and what the difficulty of working with young actors is.

• 21:00 Video tour of the Moscow Animation Museum

Everyone who joins the touching online tour will see the sweetest exhibits from favorite cartoons.

The International Film Festival for Children and Youth "Hero" is the only professional international film festival for children and youth on the territory from Eastern Siberia to Sakhalin in Russia.

The main aim of the festival is to provide conditions for the development of creative abilities and visual thinking of children, to broaden their horizons through acquaintance with outstanding examples of Russian and world modern and classical cinema, to develop moral values, aesthetic attitude toward the world around us, and own taste for art.
