The results of the film event «Hero. Specialprogram»

From November 25 to 27, as part of the film event «Hero. Specialprogram», the Krasnoyarsk Territory hosted screenings of the winning films of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth «Hero»-2020.

32 best films were presented to the audience: 37 venues of the region took part in the screenings, a total of 119 film screenings took place, which were attended by about 2,550 spectators. The event was held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, organized by the «Yenisei kino».

At the press conference that opened the film event «Hero. Specialprogram», the dates of the II International Film Festival for Children and Youth «Hero» were officially announced in the Krasnoyarsk Territory – the film forum will be held from May 19 to 23, 2022; Krasnoyarsk, Divnogorsk, Norilsk, Aban and Uzhur will become participating cities of the festival. The start of accepting applications for «Hero» in 2022 will be given in December.

In parallel with the film screenings in the framework of «Hero. Specialprogram» the film intensity «Take your movie intensive» was held for children from 12 to 18 years old. In the Media Workshop «Tvori Gora» Krasnoyarsk children participated in a course on creating a movie, specially developed by the director, founder of the Moscow film school «Tsekh» Nina Vedmitskaya. Nina personally flew to our city to work with young filmmakers and help them master the skills of script writing, filming and editing. Together with Vedmitskaya, the capital's cinematographers came to Krasnoyarsk: Vasily Solovyov, a film producer («Russia-88», «Icebreaker»), actor, director, cinematographer, screenwriter, winner of the Grand Prix of the «Kinotavr Festival» for the film «Good Boy» and Yuri Gribanov, founder of the film school «Tsekh», producer of the film «Life», awarded with Cannes Corporate TV & Media prizes, awards of the Calcutta Film Festival, Kinopositiv Film Festival. 

Almost 50 children who passed the preliminary selection became participants of the konointensiv. Every day during the classes, the most active and inquisitive teenagers were encouraged with prizes - Vasily Solovyov presented five thematic books with his autograph for the best questions, movie theater «Cinema Park» handed over tickets to film screenings, and Krasnoyarsk National Park «Stolby» and «Yenisei kino» pleased all participants of the course with branded souvenirs. The result of the three-day work of the film intensity «Take your movie» were five projects that were presented at the final pitching.

But the lessons do not end there – work on the started projects will continue under the guidance of Krasnoyarsk film director, head of the «Sayanfilm film» company Vasily Buylov. The best films created by the young people will be able to enter the shortlist of the special nomination of the «Hero» festival in 2022.
